The Episcopal Church strives to live by the message of Christ, in which there are no outcasts and all are welcome. Our Church traces its roots back to the first centuries of Celtic Christianity in Britain and Ireland.
There are more than 70 million people in 163 countries who call themselves Episcopal or Anglican because they belong to congregations with roots similar to ours. The roots of the Episcopal Church were planted by courageous missionaries and pioneering settlers who journeyed West and brought with them hope for the future and their faith. The churches which grew up from those seeds resembled each other in basic ways, yet also reflected their individual cultures.
Episcopalians believe that Scripture is the inspired Word of God that forms us as Christians. We believe that having a personal relationship with God is important, but that our faith is nourished and strengthened at church. We believe that serving the needs of the
community is one of the highest forms of serving God.
The Episcopal Church today often attracts people from diverse Christian traditions. Some of our parishioners were Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Orthodox, Lutheran and Roman Catholics. Our diversity is our strength as we bring together who we are in common fellowship and faith. It‘s the perfect church for people from different religious backgrounds seeking a church home for them and their children.
